Jakarta, October 2025 – The business expansion of PT Nusatama Berkah Tbk (NTBK) continues to draw global industry attention. One of NTBK’s subsidiaries has reportedly attracted interest from CRRC CED Railway Electric Co., Ltd, a China-based company under China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC) — the world’s largest railway equipment manufacturer.
CRRC CED Railway Electric’s interest involves exploring potential collaboration in railway electrical systems and supporting components, one of the key business focuses of NTBK’s subsidiary. Early discussions have been described as positive, opening opportunities for synergy between Indonesia’s engineering capabilities and CRRC’s global technology and network.
“We see strong potential for strategic collaboration in developing future transportation technology systems. The initial discussions with CRRC have been very constructive,” said Dodi Sentot, Corporate Secretary of NTBK.
As background, CRRC Corporation Limited is the world’s largest manufacturer of rail transportation equipment, operating in more than 100 countries with over 180,000 employees and annual revenue of around USD 35 billion.
This initiative also aligns with the Indonesian government’s vision to strengthen national manufacturing and technological capabilities, particularly in electric-based transportation. With CRRC’s global reputation and NTBK’s local expertise, this potential partnership is seen as a strategic step that could open new investment opportunities in Indonesia’s transportation technology industry.
